This is Junction

Hackathon = One weekend, where participants team up and create tech solutions to real-life challenges set by our partners. Using our partners’ data, technology and mentoring, the weekend results in advanced prototypes, fresh new concepts and innovative usages of tech.

In just seven years Junction has created a vibrant community of over 20 000 enthusiastic tech talents. Along the journey we have connected our partner companies with new audiences, and helped our partners build their own developer communities. Junction has grown into an access point to emerging top tech talents from all over the world.

Junction brings together developers, designers and other tech-minded people to solve intriguing challenges and create with technology. In order to offer them the most stimulating problems and cutting edge technology, we partner with roughly 50 companies yearly.

The Junction community organizes hackathons around the world, as well as speaker events, workshops and meetups. The event-filled year peaks in November with our flagship event, Junction, Europe's leading hackathon. Held in Finland, it gathers around 1500 developers, designers and entrepreneurs to Helsinki every year.

The Junction main event is a birthplace for over 300 new innovative projects every year, built by teams consisting of a selected group of top tech talents. No other event in Europe is able to accomplish the same. Our participants create projects based on our partners’ challenges and technology: to our partners this means fast prototyping, fresh new concepts and direct interaction with motivated participants.

Recruiting

In previous years our partners have recruited tens of tech talents to their ranks among hundreds of recruiting leads. Hackathons are a great place to get first-hand experience on the team-work, project management and technical skills of the participants. We support this exchange by offering a recruiting platform for being in touch with our hackers.
